Our
Domestic Violence Services
 |
Residential Services |
We provide safe shelter
in a secure location for victims and their dependant children. Trained
staff is available at the shelter 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
assist clients in meeting personal goals and objectives, or to just
listen when clients need to talk. Residential clients are provided
services such as:
• Case Management
• Personal and agency
advocacy
• Referrals to other agencies
• Daily Support Groups
In addition, trained advocates operate our 24-hour Help and
Information line. Callers may receive immediate assistance in emergency
situations or have questions answered and receive referrals to other
agencies. Callers may remain anonymous if they choose.
 |
Victim Advocacy |
Victim
Advocates are available to accompany
victims to court and will provide emotional support and information.
Victim Advocates are not attorneys, but will upon request provide
information about obtaining protective orders and answer questions
regarding the legal and judicial system and processes. Support groups
are offered in each county on a varying schedule. Clients may make
appointments with Victim Advocates for individual educational or support
sessions. Victim Advocates may also provide referrals to other agencies
upon request from the client.
 |
Children's Program |
Our Child
Advocate will meet individually with your child or children
to help them transition to communal living. Your child may make appointments
for individual sessions with the Child Advocate and as needed. In
addition to individual sessions, age-appropriate support group opportunities
will be offered daily. The Child Advocate will also help your child
to develop a personalized safety plan and will be available to answer
questions or just listen whenever your child needs to talk. We have
just introduced the 40 Developmental Assets to our support group schedule.
Each week, children, youth, and their mothers will be introduced to
an asset in a fun, safe learning environment.

Education Program |
We provide professional training for law enforcement,
educators, social workers, health care and business professionals,
and those in the faith community and other individuals. Our Educators
can also provide information about violence in the workplace. We are
available to participate in community awareness events and health
and resource fairs. Programming for children and youth include the
topics: Hands are Not for Hitting, Violence Free-That's Me, Conflict
Resolution, and Healthy Relationships. We can provide speakers for
