The children who come to SpringHaven are provided the same age-appropriate services as their mothers. We employ a Child/Youth Advocate who works with the children individually and in group settings daily. She provides a supervised homework time and a nutritious snack each afternoon after school, except Friday. The major goal of this activity is to encourage mothers and children to 1). Develop a regular time for homework, and 2). Eat nutritious snacks and learn about healthy eating habits. There are a number of groups offered to SpringHaven children on a rotating schedule. We also are lucky to have a wonderful core group of volunteers who assist our child advocate during group time.
